CRANES FOR JAPAN PROJECT

The image that stayed with me the most was the one of a boat in the middle surrounded by broken houses, bridges and just piles of wood all around it. It sort of looks like a dump. One wish I have for Japan is that the building get rebuilt fast. Second wish for Japan would be that they all heal and have a better life after then any of them had before. And my last wish is that they find at least 2 people from their families.

Getting back to materials

For the project I chose to use tooth picks because I thought it would be a challenge and I have never used tooth picks for any art project before. I also thought it would be easier then it was because I thought I could bend them and break them and stuff. For my process I just started making a circular shape with the tooth picks but since they are straight objects it turned out to be more like octagon. I then broke some of the tooth pick in pieces and chose the ones that seemed kind of the same length and glued them down as eye brows. I then just keep picking pieces from the pile I made and made the eyes then nose then mouth. I thought my finished product was alright. I mean it wasnt a master piece but I thought it was funny and I thought it was even funnier because I didn't get to finish the other side of my hair.
