Sketch to Sculpture

The main difference between my sketch and my sculpture is that the sculpture is 3D. This means that you can touch, move and see all angles of the sculpture. The sketch is only pencil on paper which you can only see because I would of only drew the things I saw in the picture. The sculpture also had a lot more detail because I cut out the designs of the bricks but in the picture I didnt.

The process I took to make each of these things was also very different. When making the sketch all I did was sit in front of the it a look up and down between my paper and the wall and draw what I saw. This took about 10 minuets and wasn't very hard. The sculpture on the other hand took about a week and I am still not done. I first had to cut out every piece of the main wall and glue them together, then I had to go back up to the wall and look at all the details of the bricks. After that I craved out each brick and then painted it to make it look more realistic. As you can see the process is very different and the sculpture takes a lot longer to make then the sketch.
